Choose an official Planning public meeting to attained, and discuss what happened at the meeting/s and analyze it in light of Forester’s theoretical framework. The first section of the paper should “stage” the meeting: summarize the issues deliberated, passed, or voted on; participants and their roles in the meeting; the very process of deliberation. The second section must analyze the observations in light of Forester’s Planning in the Face of Power as the group sees fit, i.e.; role of the planner; types of listening and communication distortions; information and power; relational dynamics and power relations; organizational/ institutional context; dealing with conflict and/or dramas, etc.
