Description At completion of this learning module, you will be able to: Research prospective or current employers in order to summarize and synthesize information regarding desirable skills, potential opportunities, and possible contacts.Summarize the skills and competencies that are generally obtained through earning the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree. Along with the summary of general skills, identify the specific skills that you fell that YOU have obtained through this degree: Identify the skills that would be valuable to potential employers [not your specific skills, but the skills that the researched employer would be looking for, or even specifically mentions in their “Want Ads”]. Be sure to discuss WHY these skills are valuable to the researched employer: Considering the skills you have earned, are there any skills that you feel are missing that would be valuable to an employer? If so, which ones? Why? If not, why do you feel that you are completely ready for the workforce? Based on this examination of your skill set and the skills employers are looking for, assess your future value to the potential employer you have researched. What can you offer them? Which of your skills would be most valuable to your researched employer? How do your skills fit into what they are looking for in an employee?
