The controversial issue of religion in secular education has been in the news again this year, after a second High Court ruling confirmed that the Commonwealth
Government’s insistence on placing chaplains in public (state) schools is unconstitutional. Examine the key legal issues that have played out in the run-up to both
decisions and present an argument to either support or challenge the stance of key players in these cases.
