This week, you learned about Earth’s spheres, Earth’s energy budget, and Earth’s carbon cycle.
Your reading this week is about Earthâ€™s energy budget. Answer each of the following questions and EXPLAIN YOUR REASONING using the concepts you learned about energy.

a. What would happen to the temperature of Earthâ€™s atmosphere if Earthâ€™s clouds became thicker, and doubled the rate with which the atmosphere reflects solar energy?
b. What would happen to the temperature of Earthâ€™s atmosphere if the Earthâ€™s land surfaces became covered in a thick layer of ice, doubling the rate with which the land surfaces reflect solar energy?
5c. What would happen to the temperature of Earthâ€™s atmosphere if all of the ice on Earthâ€™s land surfaces melted, cutting in half the rate with which the land surfaces reflect solar energy?

2) Shows how carbon interacts with or in EACH of the Earth’s spheres;
3) Shows interactions between energy and the carbon cycle; and
