Facebook has been successful, with over 2.4 billion active users. However, the US government has fined FB $5 billion for privacy issues. Is this an issue of ethics? This discussion question presents an issue regarding privacy and whether or not you agree with the government’s ruling. In 2019, the U.S. government fined Facebook $5 billion. Based on the government ruling, FB’s management evidence unethical behavior by breaching users privacy and did not adhere to 2011 agreement with the government.
