Transcript: Write a transcript of your interview. Include your questionnaire and interviewee’s responses. The transcript can be divided into the following sub-sections:
Professional Experience: In this section, include your questions and the professional’s responses related to work experience.
Rewards and Challenges: In this section, include your questions and the professional’s responses related to rewards and challenges of the job.
Technology: In this section, include your questions and the professional’s responses related to technology that the job requires.
Summary: Summarize your interview and the information you have learned regarding the profession. Comment on the opportunities the profession provides and the usage of technology that it allows for.
Conclusion: Include the following points in your conclusion:
Discuss your opinion of the professional’s responses to your questions: Why did the professional opt for the job? What did you notice in the professional’s outlook towards his or her job? How did the professional use his or her experiences to plan his or her career? What are the future options available to the professional?
Analyze the responses on the basis of the notes that you made during the interview.
What aspects of the hospitality industry did you learn from their responses?
How will this interview and its learning help you plan your career?
What would you do differently from the professional when planning your career?
