Cognitive Lab report

Description

The bilingual advantage, however, is highly contentious, and the literature has been rather inconsistent as to whether or not it exists. Some researchers argue that there is simply no such thing as a bilingual advantage, whereas others have argued that mixed findings are simply the result of factors related to bilingualism that have not been properly accounted for. One such possibility is considered by the Adaptive Control Hypothesis (Green & Abutalebi, 2013; ACH). The experiment in which you participated has been designed to test the predictions of the ACH. In your lab report, it is your job to demonstrate your understanding of how the experiment maps onto the different language contexts described in the ACH and how these contexts are predicted to affect the cognitive processes that are putatively measured by the Flanker Task
